CIRSx will hold its 2026 annual conference June 25–28 at the OMNI Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with registration now open through the organization's site. The conference brings together the physicians, researchers, building-science professionals, and patient advocates working on Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome — the multi-system illness Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker first described in the 1990s following exposure to water-damaged buildings.

Recent CIRSx programs have offered continuing medical education credits for clinicians alongside IICRC continuing education credits for remediators, reflecting the conference's central premise that human health and building health are inseparable. The 2025 conference in Tempe granted 18.75 hours of CME and 14 hours of IICRC CECs. CIRSx is also calling for new abstracts from physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals presenting original research, clinical case studies, and emerging practices in CIRS treatment.

The organization, co-founded by Dr. Scott McMahon and Dr. Shoemaker, also operates the CIRSx Institute, which offers credentialed courses including MIR 101 (Medically Important Remediation), CIRSx Level 1: Coaching & Consulting, and Legal 101: Winning a Mold Exposure Case.
